The Continuing Revolutionary

"At the risk of sounding ridiculous, let me say that the true revolutionary is guided by feelings of love."

This is to mark the 40th year of the  martyrdom of Ernesto 'Che' Guevara. Internationalist,
long after the Soviets lost their revolutionary thought and zeal in the myriad bureaucracy of Moscow, he envisioned a world of free men and laid down his life in pursuit of this unfading
dream of an ideal socialist order. Che more than an icon, was a true man of the people and of
the revolution.
His legacy cannot be solely be claimed by Cubans,Communists or other Socialist but is representative of the free spirit of man and of change, of making a difference in this world,
so devoid of human compassion. In rememberance of the free revolutionary that we recall his words, "Cruel leaders are replaced only to have new leaders turn cruel!", perhaps his most
enduring attribute was that he remained forever young, forevermore an embodiement of a
man trying endlessly to turn dreams into reality.
He would I am sure have looked upon the world today more as a challenge
than a slight, a world where http://www.thechestore.com/ promises to cater to 'all your revolutionary
needs'.
My personal remeberence therefore is to martyrdom of Che, the rest of the world however
seems to be celebrating his death.

Iacchus, O Iachhus - thou dost indeed betray thy name with thine eloquence... may the rebellion live on...
